DAY 01 : DAKAR AIRPORT ARRIVAL / Friday, December 8

Arrive at Dakar Airport, you will be met and cleared through immigration and customs and then transferred to your hotel.



After breakfast, full day city tour of Dakar. You will pass the colorful markets of Sandaga, Tilene and Kermel; the Great Mosque, Independence Square and the shopping centers on Pompidou Avenue, the Presidential Palace, the IFAN Museum, where a fine collection of West African masks is housed, the Cathedral and end up at the handcraft village of Soumbedioune. Return to your room by way of Corniche after visiting the sand painting gallery. B.L


Just twenty minutes from Dakar port, our ferryboat will arrive at Goree, the original Slave Island of the African West Coast. For three centuries, Goree was the center of the worldwide slave trade involving over 20 million persons of African origin. The tour guide will take you into the old slave house museum.

Lunch at the restaurant at the pier. A Holy hour at the chapel on this island to reflect on « What We have seen and Heard ». After visiting some of the islanders, we will return to Dakar.


DAY 03 :DAKAR / PINK LAKE / Sunday, December 10

Morning buffet breakfast, drive to the Pink Lake for an exciting trip using a 4 wheels drive to discover people harvested salt from the lake. Then reach the Fulani village to interact with people before continuing on the sand dunes. Dinner and Overnight. B.D

DAY 05 : PINK LAKE / THIES / LOMPOUL / Tuesday, December 12

Morning Breakfast, drive to Lompoul Desert via Thies first stop to visit the National Gallery of Tapestry and then the American Peace Corps. After that, drive to the desert of Lompoul. Located 100 km from Saint Louis, lompoul is the most beautiful desert of dunes of Senegal. Dunes 40 to 50 meters high for miles around. The desert of Lompoul extends for about thirty kilometers. A mysterious desert, an unknown wonder. You can observe the sunset on the dunes before spending the night under Mauritanian authentic desert tents in communion with the wilderness. Accommodation at the Gite de Lompoul. B.D



DAY 06 : LOMPOUL / SAINT LOUIS / Wednesday, December 13

Early in the morning, you can observe the sunrise on the dunes. Departure to the city of Saint Louis. You will visit some Senegalese villages along the way. B.D


DAY 07 : SAINT LOUIS (DJOUDJ PARK / CITY TOUR / Thursday, December 14

Early morning after breakfast departure to Djoudj National Park, 03rd World Ornithological Park. It covers 16,000 hectares of land in the Senegal River Delta; This park is the refuge for three million birds (Flamingos, Cormorants, Pelicans, etc …) and sea turtle that go there to reproduce. You will visit the park by motorized pirogue. B.D


Afternoon, city tour of the historical city of Saint Louis 1st Capital of Senegal including the Place Faidherbe, the town hall and the courthouse and horse-drawn carriage ride in the fishermen’s quarters of Guet Ndar. B.D


DAY 08 : SAINT LOUIS / SALY RESORT via TOUBA / Friday, December 15

Departure towards the town of Touba, considered as the holy city of the Mourides. Built on a private property this free city is exempt from taxes, customs duties and taxes. Visit of the city including the mosque whose minaret is 86 meters high, the highest in West Africa. After lunch on a local restaurant continuation to Saly Resort. B.D



DAY 09 : Wedding day in Dakar / Saturday, December 16

Enjoy a leisurely day in Dakar. In the evening, we are invited to a senegalese wedding and dinner, great way to end a good trip.
